Singing workshops with John Hancorn and Richard Wigmore
4pm - 6.15pm
Join conductor and singer John Hancorn and writer and broadcaster Richard Wigmore in a musical exploration of Haydn's wonderful Nelson Mass and Harmonie Mass. Discover the origins and cultural background, explore the music in some detail, with recorded illustrations, and join in with several choruses. Suitable for singers and instrumentalists. A=430 (just below concert pitch).
John and Richard will also be exploring Mozart and Brahms’ Requiems and Beethoven’s Mass in C and Missa Solemnis in their Spring/Summer ’21 season.
[Editor's note: their previous workshop series included works by Purcell, Handel, and Bach - while the new series includes works by later composers, these may be of interest to SWEMF members]
