An Evening of Festive Music

St Mary's Church, Darlington Street, Bathwick

7.30pm

The first part of our programme includes treasures from the 16th and 17th centuries including Palestrina Exsultate Deo, Bach Der Geist hilft and Monteverdi Cantate Domino, and mixes these with sparkling gems from more modern composers with Swayne Magnificat, Poulenc Exultate Deo, Cui Magnificat and Rutter Cantate Domino.

The second half of our programme moves positively into the realm of contemporary festive favourites including Wexford Carol, and Rutter Sans Day Carol, Poston Jesus Christ the Apple Tree, Hewitt-Jones Love Came Down at Christmas, Bernard Winter Wonderland and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. The Handful will also be lending their West Country accents to Davies Tua Bethlem Dref (in Welsh) and Warlock Kan Kernow (in Cornish).
