Glastonbury Cantilena is delighted to have secured the services of Ben Sawyer: Ben is a countertenor, conductor and educator based in Gloucestershire, England.

As a singer, he performs as a soloist around the country; he is a founder member of the award winning male voice a cappella group, “The Songmen”; and He is a lay clerk of Tewkesbury Abbey “Schola Cantorum”.

As a conductor, he directs Cheltenham-based award winning amateur choir, The Oriel Singers; He is a co-leader of Gloucestershire Youth Choir; he directs Tyndale Choral Society and Hanley Voices on a regular basis and is in demand to lead workshops, specialising in a cappella singing and getting the best from choirs.

As an educator, he is vocal tutor to the choristers of Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum at Dean Close Preparatory School; he teaches singing at Dean Close School, Cheltenham; he is in demand as a private singing tutor; and he directs “Close Harmony” and “Dean Close Voices” at Dean Close School.
